Jim and I found the buttons for the eyes at a local antique shop. It was nice to be able to choose individual buttons instead of buying sets of all matching buttons at a fabric store. Jim has a really good eye for this sort of thing. He helped me put together the button combination for the eyes and had the idea for sewing two buttons together to make the eyes look more like, well..eyes! ;) He also arranged the mouths on the monsters. What a team--he set up the faces and I sewed them on!
that's funny--actually Carter is really good at that sort of stuff too, spacial layout, putting things together, etc. I always ask his advice!
