Owlie, Jr.

I forgot to do a post about the owl baby I made for Erica!  It was another fun pattern by Susan B. Anderson.  I was actually the first one to complete it and post it on ravelry which was kind of fun!  :)  Once I saw the pattern, I knew it would be perfect for Erica, since she's been blogging about a family of owls that she spotted recently in Colorado.

It was a pretty quick knit, and I learned a new technique--the eyes were done in a spiderweb embroidery stitch.

My First (and only??) Pair of Socks!

I finished my second sock tonight! This one fits better than the first. I knit the foot for about a quarter inch longer than the first one because I didn't like how the seam felt in the first one. I might rip out the toe in the first one to make it more comfy...

Second Sock Syndrome

I've had second sock syndrome ever since I finished my first sock back in September (how I knit even one sock with a 3 month old is kind of mind boggling!). Anyways I was bored one evening and decided to work on the second sock...not too much longer to go now! Still plenty of yarn left too. How cute would it be if made Drew a little pair of matching socks?
