I decided to take the sweater off the needles just to see how it fit Drew so far. The circumference is actually smaller than I anticipated--I was hoping I had chosen a size that would fit him for 2 winters, but it looks like it may just fit for the rest of this winter/spring. Figuring out gauge on a sweater is so hard! (This is why I haven't tackled making a sweater for myself yet). I like the way it's turning out though. The stripes are cute and I love the way the green pops against the blue. Now I just have to figure out how much more I want to knit before starting the sleeves.

I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of colors.....is Drew wearing a pink sweatshirt....?
Hahaha! It does look pink in the picture! It's a red shirt with a navy T-Rex on it. At least I thought it was red... ;)
ReplyDeleteI just knitted Alan a jacket, a pattern from "Design it, Knit it Babies". It's very cute. Mine will hopefully last 2 winters. Just knit the biggest size, I think that's the way to go.
ReplyDeleteWow, the sweater is looking great! That stinks that it might not fit him for two years, but hopefully he'll be able to get a lot of wear out of it this winter!
ReplyDeleteAlso, Drew looks so different to me in this picture than in any other ones I've seen. His face really looks like a big boy face! So cute!
