Owls are all the rage now. Love this quirky, funny bird.
Update...in response to Mom's comment, we both decided to try on the hoot hat! Doesn't look like it'll fit us, but now you all have a good visual for what our baby might look like in the hat--just picture a combination of the two faces below. ;)

I loved owls before owls were cool!!! heheheh
ReplyDeleteSeriously though I can't wait to try this pattern! I thought about making it for your baby but it's too late now....i guess I have to just make it for myself....heheheheh
where do you buy your spud and chloe yarn? I can't find it anywhere by me. I wonder if there's something I can substitute....
The only place I've seen it is at "Nina" in Chicago. They're the shop that's hosting Susan B. Anderson on Friday--can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI did a search on Spud and Chloe's website--it looks like the closest place to you to buy it is at Fancy Tiger Crafts in Denver. It really is nice yarn.
Erica is on the cutting edge...she talked about making an owl hat ages ago! Kelly, you amaze me again, you keep knocking out projects one after another! I think that owl hat will look great on Jim for the rest of this winter!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the owl hat. The little guy is going to look SO cute in it (no matter how old he is when he gets to wear it! :)). Thanks for including the pics of you and Jim--awesome...
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear about tomorrow's book signing. You should take all of the Susan B. Anderson things that you've made with you to show her. She'll be so happy to see them. I mean, of course I would know how she'll feel since she IS one of my closest friends now... :)
Such a cute little hat!!
ReplyDeletehi kelly!
ReplyDeletepardon the stalking, but i found you in the comments on susan's blog.
so nice meeting you yesterday at nina's; your hats and toys are fantastic!

Kelly I love the owl hat, and judging by the juxtaposed pics of you and Jim, your baby will look SO handsome in it :) You amaze ME too, it's so cool to see how talented of a knitter you've become.
