What do you think? The only modification I made was that I only did 7 repeats instead of 8. This made it more of a shawlette than a full shawl, but I am glad I chose to do that as I just have a tiny ball of yarn left over. I didn't block it because I was afraid the fabric would get too stiff and not lay as nicely afterwards.
I think it came out cute; I like the color! I'm glad I found a use for my yarn and I had fun working on it. It took me about 3 weeks from start to finish, working on it for a couple hours most evenings. It has been fun to check in with all the other knitters across the country who are working on the same project, as well as Erica! Looking forward to seeing yours...

Yayyyy, you finished, you're so fast!
ReplyDeleteYou look so great in blue, I love that yarn! I like the length, I'm thinking about maybe even stopping I repeat earlier, definitely not doing all 8repeats. I may not be done for a couple few weeks still, I can only work on it 1-2 nights a week :-(
Great job!
It's fabulous, darling Kelly! I'm happy you found a use for that yarn that I bought in Jerome, Arizona. Erica's right, you do look great in blue! I think you'll get a lot of use our of that piece worn as a scarf. So chic!
ReplyDeleteLooks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous, Kels! You look like a model in those pictures. I especially love how the shawl looks in that 2nd picture. Was it supposed to wrap around like that, or did you just do that on your own? I normally think of shawls as being worn like you have it in the 1st picture, but I love the wrap-around look!
