You can see that much of my knitting corner has been taken over by baby books....about sleep!! So trying to create more sleep for us all has taken precedence over creating new knitted garments. But that's not to say that knitting has been totally out of the picture. When Erica was in town, we picked up the same yarn and pattern to make a skinny cabled neckwarmer. I don't have a ton of time to knit with Drew, but I do get a few free minutes here and there! My neckwarmer will be finished bit by bit! Erica, how does yours look? Yay, I love your crafting corner! I dont' really have a "corner" myself, but I have a bag I keep my knitting in, and it sits on the side coffee table of our couch. I'll take a picture sometime but I have to clean up first hahaha.
ReplyDeleteMy neckwarmer is progressing super fast--I had 15 inches a couple nights ago, then knit a few more! I'll take a picture and send it to you. I love the pattern, I'm wondering if I should block it since the edges are rolling in a little (but didn't the yarn shop lady say she didn't block hers...?). We'll tackle that issues when we get there I guess. Should I wait for you so we can finish around the same time?

You probably needed a little break from knitting anyway. You were a MACHINE before Drew was born! I'm sure you'll have more time when he starts letting you put him down on occasion. :)

It's too late now, but I find "the happiest baby on the block" to be an excellent source. If offers great advice to calm babies and help them sleep longer.
