Mom gave me these three books by Kristin Nicholas. We first found out about her books from Susan B. Anderson's blog. They are really beautiful books--the colors and patterns are so vibrant!
The best part about these books is that Mom asked Kristin to sign them for me! It's so neat to have books signed by the author!
After I finish my baby blue sweater, I want to make the cardigan pictured below.
I bought the yarn for the cardigan at the yarn shop yesterday. I really love the colors I chose--I think they will look so cute on a little boy!
I taught Becky how to make a hat while she was in town. She also made the Marian cowl. She had never knit on circular or double pointed needles before--she learns so quickly! Her hat came out great--can't wait to see what she makes next! She's promised to start a blog too!

I'm inspired by you two! Becky, you've made great strides in learning new techniques! You'll catch up to Kelly in no time at all!
ReplyDeleteKelly--I can't believe you're knitting a sweater! You have far surpassed the skills of your first knitting teacher, and I am so proud of you!
ReplyDeleteBecky--nice hat! I like knitting hats better than scarves, they are quicker, require less yarn ($$), and they are so versatile! I hope you enjoy the hat knitting process as much as I do :-)
I can't wait to see both of those sweaters, Kels! They are going to be so cute!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of the knitting praises and encouragement, everyone! I am enjoying learning all of this new stuff!
OMG I want an adult version of the striped cardigan! :) The baby will look adorable in that!
ReplyDeleteKelly, are you still going to make that striped cardigan? I think Drew would enjoy wearing that now!
